For Sikhs, we have celebrated Diwali but also have come to celebrate Bandhi Chhor Divas as explained by our friends @naamras below: βToday marks the day that Sri Guru Hargobind Ji returned to Sri Harmandir Sahib after months of imprisonment at the Gwalior Fort. In celebration, the Sikhs lit oil-lamps all over, rejoicing the return of their Guru. Dhan Guru Hargobind Ji did not leave on their own, but freed 52 other Kings who had been wrongly imprisoned in the jail as well.
