Basic Chicken Biryani Recipe πŸ˜‹ - - - RECIPE πŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌ - - - - 1kg Chicken 3-4medium onions 1 garlic 1 ginger 1 packet biryani masala 4 large tomatoes Coriander 1 green chillis (whole) 2 cups basmati rice Saffron/Yellow food colouring 1. Wash and soak your rice for 20 minutes. 2. Heat some oil in a pan on a medium heat. 3. Add finely sliced onions and cook for 5-10mins. 4. Once they’ve browned slightly, add your washed chicken and cook that on a medium heat with salt. 5. Add chopped garlic to the meat. 6. Grate and add ginger to the chicken and cook for 5-10 minutes. 7. When the oil has released onto the side of the pan, add the biryani masala and mix. 8. Add your tomatoes, coriander and green chillis and let it cook for 10-15 minutes. 9. When it becomes a thick gravy consistency, leave it to the side and prep your rice. Add your soaked rice to a pot of boiling water with salt. 10. Boil the rice till it’s 80% done. ( for reference, it’s still firm but soft in the middle ) 11. Once boiled, drain the rice and begin to layer your biryani. 12. The order I layer is rice, chicken, coriander & then repeat till the last layer is rice. 13. Pour your colour on the top layer and seal with a foiled lid. Make sure the lid is tight on the pot so the rice can steam nicely. 14. This process is called β€˜ dam β€˜. You want to put the pot on the lowest flame for 20/30 minutes or until your rice is cooked. 15. Let it sit for 15 minutes on no flame and when you’re ready to eat, combine the layers together and serve! #biryani #chickenbiryani #biryanirecipe #Recipe #EasyRecipe #tutorial #cooking #easycooking
