People conplain that season 4 was being overly inclusive but i loved the representation! VD: a collection of clips from season 4 of sex education. They feature a black character called Aisha. Aisha is deaf and wears cochlear implants. Text on screen reads: “deaf representation in sex education i relate to”. The clips demonstate different aspects of the deaf experience that are widely relatable within the deaf community. 1) people over ennunciating / yelling to “help you hear better”. 2) teachers speaking directly into radio mics (effectively screaming in your ear). 3) being confused / unaware about fire alarms 4) language deprivation / lack of BSL access. 5) being told it doesnt matter/ il tell you later and feeling lost/ left out of group conversations. 6) the exhaustion of not being understood/ accomodated for. 7) people who are new to BSL accidentally signing bad/dirty things.
