The hardest part about becoming a mom so young was not taking care of my son, but taking care of myself while taking care of him. As many other teenagers I struggled with finding myself before becoming a mom. After, I felt that I found a very important piece of me but still struggled to find the rest. Who was me, as a person outside of motherhood, and now it was even harder because I completely forgot that I needed to not just take care of my child but myself too. Motherhood has been a rollercoaster. It made me weaker in some ways but stronger than I ever thought I could be. Made life chaotic but more fulfilled and I learned to appreciate the small things.
