This is part 2 from lessons of Psalm 23: (Part 1 tagged below) Today we pondered on verses 4-6 Lesson 6: God protects you from danger. David knew that as long as He is doing what is right and even if that leads him to his death, he shall fear no evil because he knows that God is the best Protector there is. He is always in control. Even in the midst of danger, we can still have peace because God is our Shepherd. Even in the midst of our enemies, God prepares a table. He provides , but also supplies comfort. Lesson 7: God is always with you! David had a strong confidence and faith in God that no matter what happens, God will never leave him. Whether he would be lying in the green pasture or going through the shadow of death, he has the full assurance that God is there to take care of Him.the same applies to YOU. Lesson 8: God is good. God is good and because of this goodness, we are not consumed with anger. He is ever patient, loving, and merciful. Because of God’s goodness, we are led to repentance. We are always given a chance to repent and change our ways. Lesson 9: God is merciful: King David knew how much mercy he needs. Throughout his life, he has made a lot of bad decisions in life. Worst of the sins he committed were adultery and murder. If God wasn’t merciful, he could have already been dethroned. He could have already lost his salvation. He could already have been dead. The same mercy is also extended to us today. Lesson 10: God rewards those who follow Him. If you are suffering right now, if you believe that running the Christian race isn’t worth it anymore, or if you simply want to give up already, remember these verses. Whatever you are experiencing right now, they are NOTHING compared to the great and indescribable reward God has prepared for us! I pray this encouraged you as much as as me.
