It is a rite that awakens the dormant mana reserve within them, and while Mothkin can not use their own mana, the Petillian magic users rely heavily on them. This relationship between the magic users and vessels helps both countries flourish and grow, a balance that benefits them both. Lousheia, however, had nothing and was seen as a failure.
