It’s been a long time since I have felt that I recognized the person in the mirror or myself in photo’s. That other girl looked like me, but she didn’t feel like me. Not the real me. It was the me that was sifting through the rubble after life crashed down around me. And I know I am not alone in this feeling, so I would love to see a trend of others sharing pictures they too recognize themself in. If you are currently in the stage where you feel like a stranger is in the mirror, just know that it does get better. Keep fighting to find the you that youre longing for but don’t know how to find or where to look.
