Peregrine falcons reach their top speed when diving to catch smaller bird species right out of the air! Meet Petunia! She’s a 4 year old non-releasable peregrine falcon. She flegded from her nest too early and injuried her wing. The injury caused her to lose some flight capabilities. She now resides at AEF as an educational ambassador. Everest the Golden Eagle struttin his way on over to a snack. He was rescued after contracting west nile virus and treated at a rehabilitation center. He was then transferred to a falconer for flight and hunting training. Everest showed no interest in flying and did not respond to live prey. This deemed him non-releasable to the wild.
