This is pulisherry (Kerala Yogurt Curry)! Most people aren’t used to having yogurt warm but it’s something I grew up with. It’s perfect with rice and great for digestion!💁🏻‍♀️💕 #Recipe #indianfood #keralafood #digestivehealth

🍆Are you a thoran or mezhukuperatti person? In kerala cuisine, there are mainly two types of stirfries, one is thoran and the other one is mezhukuperatti. Thoran uses less oil, with finely chopped vegetables, adding grated coconut. Whereas, mezhukuperatti uses more oil, with thick julienne cut vegetables stir-fried along with coconut slices. Heres a super simple thoran recipe that is #dormfriendly - I’m using ivy gourd, but use any veggie you like. 🌿Recipe: - Add mustard seeds into hot coconut oil, once it pops, add in garlic, green chilli, onion (or shallots), dried red chilli and curry leaves - Sauté. - Add in 1/8 tsp turmeric powder - Sauté. - Add round slices of ivy gourd or finely chopped veggie of your choice - mix. - Add 1/2 cup grated coconut in the middle, and cover the coconut with the veggie forming a dome - cover with a lid. - Let it steam cook on low heat for 5 mins. - Add salt accordingly and sauté on high heat till the water is absorbed from the thoran. - Enjoy with hot rice. #keralafood #dormfriendlyfood #ivygourd #stirfryrecipe #indianfood

Porotta and Beef cannot be banned❌🙄 - Beef Fry Recipe👇🏻 Kerala is one indian state that openly consumes beef opposing the ban, a lot of politicians and other prominent people have been seen voicing their pro beef opinions openly as well in Kerala. 🥩Recipe: - Boil beef coated in turmeric, black pepper and salt. You can use bone in or boneless beef, avoid using stew cut and instead use cuts like brisket, chops, or roast. - Heat up a pan, add in ginger and garlic into coconut oil. Then sliced onions or shallots. - Add chilli powder for that heat once garlic, ginger and onion trio is sautéed well. - Add in cooked beef along with broth, adjust salt. - Add black pepper while sautéing on low heat. You want to keep adding black pepper and continue sautéing on low to medium heat till its blackened and all the water has absorbed. - Feel free to throw in curry leaves and green chillies, i ran out. Enjoy with hot rice, porotta, chappathi or as a snack ;) #beeffry #beeffrykeralastyle #beefrecipe #indianfood #keralafood #EasyRecipe #comfortfoods #recipetiktok

Replying to @user9834 This comment destroyed me yesterday and it took me a while to realize that such people will never change or learn to respect other peoples culture and that is their problem. My blog is my safe space where I display my food stories, especially highlighting my cultural food. The reason why many of us are not confident eating with our hands out in restaurants or public is because of the trauma such comments leave behind, paired with judgemental stares and glances. However, I will continue to embrace my culture, eat with my hands and share ethnic food content with you all as I know there are so many of you that appreciate me and look forward to my content. #rudecomments #replyingtocomments #eatingwithhands #indianfood
