long message warning.. so today I just released my second song ‘GRIEF’ ❤️ I am a little nervous releasing this new song because based off the title you can probably tell it’s a very vulnerable piece. This song is about the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. I wanted to include all the different stages and really wanted to tell a story with this song. The section I really wanted to highlight was the climactic section near the end.. I wanted to include a section in this piece that expressed the act of ‘yelling’ and ‘hurt.’ I also wanted to start and end the piece in the same emotional space, soft, uneasiness, and a feeling of being lost. I really tried my best to bring out the emotions with my playing and when I was recording this piece specifically, I really wanted to be in the right head space to make sure I played it with all the right intentions.
