🌊 Mallorca: Rediscovering the Thrill of FPV 🚁🌴 🚁✨ This time, we're exploring the breathtaking beauty of Mallorca, where a picturesque creek near a majestic lighthouse sets the stage for an unforgettable flight. 🏞️🌅 With the gentle breeze and shimmering waters as our backdrop, my friend Enrique and I embarked on this journey to reignite my passion for FPV and unlock the skills I had momentarily lost. 💪🔐 As the drone gracefully glides through the air, capturing every twist and turn, you'll witness the awe-inspiring scenery that unfolds before us. Unforgettable Swiss adventures with my fearless friend Laurine! 🎿🏔️ Flying my drone at a jaw-dropping altitude of 4000 meters to dive that mountain, with braving bone-chilling temperatures of -20°C and using FPV analog goggles for the last time... The challenge was real! The thin air and the analog video added an extra layer of excitement to the adrenaline rush. 💨🥶 What can you do when you only see white in the goggles ? hahaha. Oh and did I mention the fog? The fan of the fatshark goggles stopped working and I was diving the mountain with only one eye, I'm serious. 😂 But hey, nothing could deter my determination to capture Laurine's awe-inspiring skiing skills and the mesmerizing glacier landscape. It was a test of skill, focus, and sheer passion! 🚀❄️ Grateful for the unforgettable experiences and the memories etched in my mind forever. 🎥✨ I hope you enjoyed the edit, it took me two years to start it and 3 days to make it 🤙 Want more to the story? 😏 okayyy... Right after this flight I packed my FPV drone into my backpack, I strap my snowboard on 🏂 and as I descend the same pow line, I'm dizzy with the altitude 😵💫 the adrenaline rush from the flight and I can't se clearly as I'm recovering from the fog in the goggles and the brightness of the outside world. Suddenly I realised I went too far within the Glacier and 5 second later the snow below my feet collapses into a ice pit ❄️🕳️ I'm thrown forward thanks to my speed. My legs are hanging in the void, I don't know how deep is the hole and don't want to know I just want out. The weight of my snowboard and my FPV backpack pulls me towards an early death but my arms have grabbed and are holding an icy snow edge. And thanks to that, I managed to pull myself from the hole, roll over my body with my snowboard and backpack on onto a steady surface, stand up and just go far away reaching the safer side of the glacier. Crazy right? 🌍 Exploring Pieter Both Mountain 🚁 ✨ Solo adventure called! Leaving my friends behind while they're still asleep at the hotel and hangover, I embarked on a mission to capture the magnificent Pieter Both Mountain up close. Armed with my only analog FPV cinematic drone, I ventured towards the summit, 2 kilometers away, after driving for a few hours. Is driving hours for flying only one battery called dedication or stupidity? 🤣 🌟 Challenging flight, quite windy, breathtaking reward! Cloudy but waiting for the right moment to take off to anticipate that by the time I'd reaxh the top, the clouds will allow some sun lights on the mountain to enlighten the rocks. Birds perched atop the summit added an enchanting touch to my flight 🛸 Yes, this flight was another flight using Analog goggles and being that far away without GPS is always a struggle, especially when using small size lens o your analog camera and with the quality of a noisy 90's TV stream in front of your eyes haha. I safely guided my drone back, grateful for the unforgettable journey and the stunning footage I captured. As usual, this was a one flight only. I don't attempt things twice, the beauty is in the moment. 💫 Curiosity rewarded! This spontaneous adventure showcased the beauty of Pieter Both Mountain and reminded me of the joy that comes from exploring and capturing.
