Replying to @mrskenzington Hope this helps! KN words are so fascinating. I don’t know the reason why all these #words are related in this way. But somewhere along the way, linguists or researchers started noticing how many words with these certain #submorphemes , also called phonesthemes, had similarities in meaning. I learned about these first in a LETRS training I took in 2005. I heard about them again through 💙IMSE💚 training in 2018. They are mentioned in the book ABC’s and all their tricks. Also Marcia Henry’s book Unlocking Literacy talks about these. I’ve also Google searched submorphemes and found articles written about submorphemes. I’m also always on Etymonline to look up word, origins, and sometimes they’ll mention the meaning of the submorphemes, and even trace it back to the PIE roots. I also have word nerd friends who share things with me! If you’re interested in them, I encourage you to do your own research as well! #il#iloveteachingd#edutokh#themoreyouknowe#learne#teacho#homeschoolm#smarty#dyslexiae#teachersoftiktokn#knt#structuredliteracyu#submorphemeh#phonesthemey#fypシ
