So many legends and stories have been told about this mountain over the years. One of which was of a time when giants walked the Earth and as a young women’s great love was called to war, she agreed to wait for him. She eventually fell asleep while waiting. Her love was killed and the town’s people did not want to wake her from her peaceful slumber to tell her the horrible news. They prayed and asked God to place her in a deep, unwaking sleep.
