Unknown place in Kyoto, Japan 🍵 You can reach Uji (宇治) by Train from Kyoto in only around 20 minutes! ⛩️ Uji is a small city located between Kyoto and Nara, in Kyoto Prefecture. It’s famous for it’s high quality and delicious teas. You may have heard of “Uji-Matcha” (宇治抹茶) that you can find in a lot of places and cafes in Japan. There’s lots of Shrines & Temples in the area, as well as lots of nature, Mountains and the famous Uji-River. It gives me lots of Ghibli vibes and I can imagine Uji being even prettier in the summertime. Do you know the Anime “Hibike Euphorium” ? It actually took place in Uji and you can recognize lots of the Spots from the Anime! It’s worth a visit if you’re around Kyoto, there’s no crowds, lots of small cafes and local businesses.
