Back in April of this year, my husband got injured for the second time. The first time was in 2020 playing basketball, knee to knee contact and he needed surgery. This was all weeks before we got engaged. I felt like we were being tested and I struggled with knowing how to be there for my partner during such a scary time. As he started to get better and gain his strength and mobility back to 100% we were amazing; going places, trips, restaurants, events we were there. Then this year same injury (from basketball) different knee. This one hit way harder than the first time because as a wife I said this road to recovery was going to be different. I’m going to be more present, cook, keep things in tact and manage being a content creator all while making sure my husband is good. Not gonna lie I burned out quick, but in all of it I knew that making him good meals with love and spending time with him during this challenging time would put a smile on his face and for that I am so grateful for him. It’s the little things. * * How did you handle a challenging time with your partner? * * * * * #couple #funny #husbandandwife #husband #wife #Love #cooking #cookingathome #cookingtime #washingtondc #loveyourself #injury #basketball #bae #iloveyou #dc #dcfoodie #dcfoodies #dcfoodscene #dceats #dmv #dmvfood #styled2be
