Today, Canadians across the country honour the children who never returned home, survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Survivors have come forward and done the impossible - they have told their stories, reopened wounds and shared solutions, which manifested in the 94 Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action. To date, we have only accomplished 13 of those calls to action. At this rate, it will take us until 2065 to accomplish all of them. Let us not repeat the mistakes of our past.
