Discover the taste of Japan in West Melbourne! 🇯🇵 📍 @karemelbourne Authentic Japanese curry at Karé, right across from the Queen Victoria Market. At Karé, the curries are a harmonious blend of flavors, ranging from mild to spicy, made with the finest ingredients, featuring tender meats, fresh veggies, and aromatic spices, all simmered to perfection. Mind you, the curry had a nice kick to it! But that’s not all! They offer more than just curry. Also known for their Curry Pan’s filled with curry goodness., this snack will take you back to Tokyo. What we ate: 🍓 ichigo strawberry iced latte with almond milk $8.50 - 4/5 🍵 iced matcha latte with almond milk $9.50 - 4/5 🍛 chicken katsu curry $23.90 - the chicken was cooked to perfection; tender and juicy. I love me some chicken that has been cooked really well. I usually fray away from ordering chicken on a dinner menu, just in case that it’s dry, however this was the opposite from us - 4.5/5 🥩 wagyu scotch katsu curry $28.90 - unfortunately, the fillet was not cooked evenly where parts of the fillet were medium-rare and well-done (leading it to be tough and on the drier side). however, when dipped in the curry, its forgivable - 3.5/5 🍣 tuna yukke salad $16.70 - this dish was light and fresh, which is a perfect balance from the curries, which are on a heavier side. the tuna was fresh and paired well with the avocados - 4.5/5 🥘 mini beef curry dinner pan $7.50 - i’ve heard so much about the curry pan’s and this was the option closest from the dinner menu. unfortunately, this one didn’t live up to my liking, but i am still keen to try those lunch menu curry pan! - 3/5 🍗 nankotsu popcorn karaage $13.90 - this paired with the wasabi miso was a perfect combo. the sauce had similarities to a sweeter mustard and it had a nice kick - 4/5 [invite] #kare #japanesecurry #japanesecafe #melbournecafe #currylovers #melbourneeats

4) A carne empanada faz TODA a diferença! Locais para adquirir o curry em tablete: - Daiso Online - Hachi8 - Mercearias japonesas perto de você - Liberdade #fyp #kare #receita

@kare_melbourne 📍West Melbourne ⭐️ Signature Beef Curry ⭐️ Chicken Katsu Curry ⭐️ Beef Pan ⭐️ Pork Pan Kare is a charming little cafe in West Melbourne (opposite @vicmarket) dedicated to its namesake. Japanese curry is a diverse culinary realm, with influences from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Here they embrace the Euro-Style curry, reminiscent of a rich French beef stew curry, adding their own twist to the dish. 🍛 It is only now in its 4th week of trading, and is the brainchild of Akiko Asano, an interior designer renowned for her work on places like @tamurasakebar, @izakayabytamura and @theelysianwhiskybar. In the kitchen, the culinary magic is by consultant chef Ryo Kitahara. Although not on-site full-time due to his other projects, including an upcoming ramen bar, Ryo’s expertise ensures that Kare’s house-made original curries and delectable pastries maintain their exceptional quality. 👨🏼‍🍳 We started with a Sesame Iced Latte, our first ever, and were impressed by how well balanced it is, no flavour overwhelmed. The coffee is sourced from Wide Open Road. I also tried one of Tina’s sparkling teas which I’ve started popping up everywhere, very refreshing. I don’t think I could pick a favourite dish, they were all amazing. Both the Signature Beef Curry and Chicken Katsu Curry were big, bold and had a decent heat to it. The beef was tender and the chicken was beautifully crumbed and perfectly cooked. ⭐️ You must try their Curry Pan, with Pork, Beef, Vegetable or Anko Red Bean fillings. The bread itself is so crispy, yet fluffy inside and very slightly sweet. I actually wish I had a plain version to have with my curry. 😂 As they grow, they will be slowly expanding their menu and eventually be open for dinner, with a distinct menu and a selection of natural sakes. Really well done to the team, this was a very tasty lunch. ⭐️ 4.7/5 💸 $$ Have you visited? Share your thoughts in the comments!👇🏽 {invite} #kare #westmelbourne #japanesecurry
