Your training is only as good as your recovery. 
This year, rest and recovery has played a crucial role in really improving my overall wellbeing. Recovery includes things like: - Sleep quality - Nutrition + Hydration - Protein intake - Stretching and foam rolling - Central nervous system recovery - Heat + Cold therapy - Massage I am definitely guilty of maxing myself out in the gym and not taking recovery seriously in the past. As I get into the later half of my 20s, the value of recovery has become really evident. Every week I set aside 1 hour to do contrast therapy which is a mix of sauna + cold plunge. It helps with: - Muscle recovery by promoting blood flow - Pain and inflammation reduction - Enhanced endurance - Mental benefits; I call it the “contrast therapy high” - Injury prevention - Improved sleep #contrasttherapy #wellnesstips #wellnessjourney #burnsurvivor #sauna #coldplunge
