I loved how Kay tried to mimic her after it happened! 🤣❤️ backstory ::: After an amazing pregnancy journey, Kay and I started a new adventure of taking care of our newborn daughter! It has been so amazing and we have loved every second of it. We haven’t experienced a lot of “firsts” with her yet, but today we got lucky enough to see one! It was her first coo and possibly her first REAL smile! It was so cute and she smiled so big. Kay’s face lit up and her eyes immediately filled with tears! ❤️ I am so thankful that she called me over, because i will cherish this beautiful memory forever! We didn’t expect her to smile or coo for another couple weeks. She’s had some reflex smiles, but this one looked intentional! THATS what she wanted it for!? 🫣😂 backstory ::: Kay’s computer stopped working about a year ago, and we haven’t been able to replace it. Every time we are at the mall, Kay stops and looks at her dream PC. She always shows me the features and everything about it as if i haven’t seen it before. 😂 This time, she wanted to go in like usual, but I had a plan! 😏 When she started talking about it, I would randomly ask if she wanted to get it! So we went in like usual, and she started talking about all the details, and I sprung the question! 😂 She was so confused! I could tell that she wasn’t sure if i was joking or not, and I don’t think it fully registered that she finally had her dream PC until we got to the car! 😅 On the way to the car, i asked about what she wanted to do with her new computer, and she said she was going to use it as a calendar and to check email! 🙈 Whatever she uses it for, she has wanted it for so long, so I thought it would make an excellent late christmas present! How did I not know this was a thing? 😳😅 Backstory ::: We’ve had two great weeks with bean. I’ve learned a lot about taking care of a newborn. Before bean I had never even changed a diaper. 😂 While changing her, I noticed that her umbilical cord had fallen off in her clothing. I didn’t think this was a big deal so I finished changing her and threw it in the trash. This was a mistake. 😂 Apparently Kay had been waiting on it to fall off so that she could save it forever in a little plastic bag. I’m not sure why she wanted it so bad but she’s made it clear that it’s very important that she keeps it. Later while she was changing Ellie, she started yelling my name to come to her. She had noticed that her umbilical cord was missing and panicked. She then retrieved the umbilical cord from the trash and stored it safely in a little plastic bag. I’m so thankful that I put off taking out the trash. I hope that when bean grows up, she’s super excited to have a small dried fragment of her belly button. 😂 #kayandtayofficial #couples #relationships #pregnant #postpartum

Not her saying that I only took a few minutes to make her gift! 😂🤣 Backstory ::: We just had our first Christmas with our newborn, and made so many memories! Unfortunately though, in all of the hustle and bustle of prepping for the holidays, we forgot to buy her any gifts! 😬 We are used to not buying anything for each other, because we have never had a lot of extra money during the holidays, and preferred to use the money that we did have to get others gifts before ourselves. This year was no different, except we should have bought for Ellie! 🫣 I thought that we weren’t buying anything because we had just got so much for her when she was born last month! And Kay didn’t think that we needed to because she was a newborn. Then she realized at Christmas that everyone else that she knows with newborns bought them presents. So she felt bad that she didn’t do it the right way for Ellie! I love how she pretended like Ellie was my gift this year, despite us not exchanging gifts in the last 9 years! 😂 Kay may have contributed 9 months to the gift this year, but that just makes me more efficient than her because I did my half in a few minutes! 😂 #kayandtayofficial #couples #relationships #pregnant #postpartum

Her face when she saw Santa 🥹❤️ backstory ::: Kay has had a hard time recently with the baby blues, so I decided that I would surprise her with a day of her favorite things! She is a gift giver and loves to give to others, so I thought I’d take her to get her favorite breakfast, then we’d spend the day getting gifts for family! She had such an amazing time, and I loved to see how happy she was. She is doing so good with this postpartum journey, and I’m so proud of her. This was our first real outing with Ellie, and I think she did amazing! We had to stop to feed a few times, but otherwise Ellie loved all of the activity! She had some troubles latching and eating initially, but we hope to have that all fixed now! ❤️ Kay has been so excited for this newborn photoshoot because shes never been able to do that before! She has shown me pictures of all if the cute sleeping baby photoshoots for weeks! 😂 I am so excited that she gets to do a newborn photoshoot this time! Elliott did so good the entire time! We’re gonna need a bigger baby book! 😂😅 Backstory ::: Kay and I have made so many memories in this last month! We have had ups and downs, but are finally getting the hang of newborn life! ❤️ At first, Ellie was small and we had trouble with her gaining weight! But now she is growing great! So great that she is starting to grow out of some clothes and diapers. Kay is so excited that Ellie is growing, but i don’t think she was ready for her to forever grow out of her newborn diapers and some newborn clothes.
