Fishermen in Southeast Alaska are in danger of losing their king salmon trolling season. A Seattle-area federal district court judge recently issued a ruling in favor of a Washington-based conservation group’s lawsuit to close the fishery. Tlingit & Haida is ready to defend the troll fishery, small fleet of fishermen and women, and our communities that rely on this sustainable fishery. If you are a tribal citizen permit holder and would like to provide a testimonial on how your livelihood is being impacted by this ruling, please share your contact information.
